Warranty

Beacon Limited Hardware Warranty

 

This Beacon Limited Hardware Warranty (this “Warranty”) is provided by Beacon Technology Solutions Inc. (“Beacon”) to you in connection with the Beacon Terms of Service, available at https://www.beaconlight.co/terms-of-service (the “Terms”). This Warranty is subject to and governed by the Terms.

 

PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY

This Warranty applies to Beacon products you purchased directly from Beacon or from an authorized Beacon reseller and only for Beacon products used in the United States. If you purchase a Beacon product from an unauthorized reseller, if the original factory serial number has been removed, defaced or altered, or if you use the Beacon product outside of the United States, this Beacon warranty will not be valid.

 

WARRANTY PERIOD

The length of this Warranty is one year from the date of shipment (“Warranty Period”). This Warranty shall have no effect for any claims made after expiration of the Warranty Period.

 

WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS

Beacon warrants its products contained in their original packaging against defects in material and workmanship when the products are used normally for their intended purposes.

 

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY

This Warranty excludes and does not cover: (a) repair or replacement due to normal wear and tear; (b) issues relating to handling, storage, accident, transport, removal, or installation of a Beacon product; (c) abuse or misuse, including the failure to use the Beacon product for its intended purposes; (d) use of the Beacon product in any manner not conforming to product manual instructions; (e) damage caused by lightning, water, fire, acts of God, war, public disturbances, incorrect mains voltage, improper ventilation, or any other cause beyond the control of Beacon; or (f) any Beacon products that have been modified in any way or have had any serial number removed or defaced.

 

Repair or modification of the product by anyone other than Beacon or a Beacon approved agent will void this Warranty.

 

There are no warranties which extend beyond those stated herein. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT MAY BE APPLICABLE TO PRODUCTS, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDED, OR WHERE EXCLUSION IS NOT PERMITTED, LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

 

WARRANTY IS NON-TRANSFERABLE

This Warranty is non-transferable. To be eligible for warranty coverage, you must be an “original purchaser” of the product from Beacon, meaning you must be the first purchaser of the product from Beacon or an authorized Beacon reseller.

 

HOW TO REQUEST WARRANTY SERVICE

To obtain warranty service under this Warranty, during the Warranty Period, please follow these steps to submit a valid claim:

  1. Send an email to info@beaconlight.co with the subject "Warranty Request" to submit a warranty request.

  2. Follow all instructions in response to your email request, including, if requested, returning the defective product to the address provided by Beacon. In such cases, Beacon will provide a prepaid shipping label for you to return the defective product. Additional accessories or units that are not defective should not be included in the return shipment. When a return is requested, a replacement unit will be returned to you at Beacon’s cost after Beacon’s receipt of the requested return. Products may be replaced by refurbished products of the same or similar type, rather than being repaired.

  3. If your Beacon product is capable of storing software programs, data and other information, you should make periodic backup copies of the information contained on the storage media to protect the contents and as a precaution against possible operational failures. During warranty service or any other technical support, it is possible that the contents of the Beacon product’s storage media will be lost, replaced or reformatted. In such an event Beacon and its agents are not responsible for any loss of software programs, data or other information contained on the storage media or any other part of the Beacon product serviced.

 

BEACON’S RESPONSIBILITIES

As long as you fulfill your obligations under “HOW TO REQUEST WARRANTY SERVICE” and satisfy the other conditions in this Warranty, Beacon will repair or replace your product with the same or functionally equivalent product, at our discretion, free of charge.

 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Except as provided in this warranty and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Beacon is not liable for any special, incidental, indirect or consequential damages, including without limitation damages resulting from use or malfunction of Beacon products, compromise or corruption of data, loss of profits or revenues, costs of replacement goods or costs of recovering, programming, or reproducing any program or data stored in or used with the Beacon product, even if Beacon is informed in advance of the possibility of such damages.

To the extent permissible by applicable law, this warranty and any implied warranties are your exclusive warranties and replace all other warranties or conditions, express or implied. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

 

How consumer law relates to this warranty

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state. Other than as permitted by law, Beacon does not exclude, limit or suspend other rights you have, including those that may arise from the nonconformity of a sales contract. For a full understanding of your rights, you should consult the laws of your state.
